Best Mattresses For Back Problems

Back problems can wreck your ability to get a good nights rest. There is nothing worse than spending a lot on a mattress only to wake up with back pain. I have had the opportunity to try several different mattress brands in my travels with my husband over the years. While I can’t say there is one specific brand that is best for back, I do have a recommendation on what I feel is the best style of mattress for back problems. I am strongly in favor of the Wrapped Coil Hybrid mattresses. The Wrapped Coil is different than the old-school spring system where the wires are all connected. The Wrapped Coil puts each spring in a fabric wrapping that allows for the springs to conform to each individuals unique shape. It is great for pressure relief and back support. Here is a GREAT video explaining the Wrapped Coil System. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlMfOXhbpmo

  1. I have one of the Restonic mattresses mentioned in the list above. My Chiropractor told me that I should look into getting a new mattress with the treatment he was giving me. He recommended Restonic mattresses with Marvelous Middle support. I have noticed a significant improvement in the last several weeks since I bought it. I tried several models and ultimately decided to buy the Biltmore Aireloom Firm. So far it has been a great investment.

  2. We researched mattresses for back problems for weeks before we decided to visit a local mattress store in Murfreesboro TN. that had Tempur-pedic mattresses. The sales guy was great and helped us select the perfect comfort level. We purchased an Adapt Medium Hybrid and my husbands back has really improved.

  3. We are partial to Latex mattresses. The most supportive and durable mattresses we have owned has either been all latex or latex and springs. My husband has lower back issues and he seems to do better on our Jamison latex TLC mattress than any other we’ve had.

  4. We have had a rough time finding a mattress for my husbands back. He has lower back issues and needs a lot of support. Our Beautyrest just didn’t work for him. We bought a Stearns & Foster and it has made a big difference. Only time will tell but he is finally sleeping in our room again.

  5. We prefer Hybrid mattresses. We tried memory foam in the past and were disappointed. The Hybrid with wrapped springs offers good back support and comfort for hips and shoulders.
